My Style: Mad Men Premier Party

Photo by Emma Arnold for Tres Awesome

The only thing that could possibly be better than Mad Men returning to live television is watching the premiere episode projected on the big screen...sold out at my favorite movie theater... at a themed premier party with locally distilled gin cocktails, burlesque babes and everyone in full 1960s attire. Pinch me, am I dreaming?! No friends, that really happened. And it was incredible.

Chicago events marketing company, No Small Plans Productions, teamed up with the recently renovated historical Logan Theater to throw the party of the year in honor of Man Men's Season 6 premiere. The event was beautifully done, Spencer and I couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.

I wore a super fun 60s vintage number with a little train (borrowed from the ever wonderful Niki Hughes).
And, of course, no '60s look is complete without a LOT of hairspray. Nice try Windy City, but this bouffant isn't moving an inch.

Delicious pre-party pizza from one of my favorite neighborhood spots, Reno.

There was an audience voted "Most Dapper" and "Most Dazzling" contest held during the pre-screening cocktail party. The picture above was taken of the top four "Dazzlers" for local street style blog, Tres Awesome. I was completely shocked and flattered to be voted "Most Dazzling" of the night! Such an honor :)

I'm a total sucker for any theme party and am always the all-out crazy dressed person at them, but this time I felt like I fit with the crowd! I was really impressed with all the dapper and ladylike ensembles my fine Chicago folks donned for the evening. It's always wonderful to see folks getting into the spirit of things.
